Councilmember P.G. Sittenfeld announces 2021 run for Cincinnati mayor

Councilmember P.G. Sittenfeld announced Sunday he is running for Cincinnati mayor in 2021.

Sittenfeld, a Cincinnati native who is currently serving his third term as a member of the city council, made the announcement during a press conference at the Laborers Hall.

Sittenfeld is also the Chair of the Education, Innovation & Growth Committee and serves on the Budget & Finance Committee and the Equity, Inclusion, Youth & the Arts Committee.

Sittenfeld said his priorities as mayor would be reducing inequities for black and brown communities, securing affordable housing and high paying jobs and eliminating gun violence.

Fellow councilman David Mann is also running for mayor in 2021.

Cranley, who is prohibited by term limits from running again, has not said who he might favor to take his seat.
