Cumberland County stand off ends peacefully

Lower Allen Township Police were dispatched to a wanted person in an apartment in the 2100 Block of Cedar Run Drive Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the subject was wanted for possession with intent to deliver drugs, and one or more juveniles were also reported in the residence.

According to police, the wanted subject, identified as J.C. Bodkins, was contacted through the door and refused to come out.

At this point, it was unknown if the juvenile(s) were being held against their will(s).

Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team and negotiators were called to the scene, which was treated as a barricaded subject with possible hostage(s).

Eventually, Bodkins surrendered peacefully and one juvenile also emerged, unharmed, having not been held as a hostage.

There were no other occupants in the residence during the incident.

No injures were reported.
