Dallas County Commissioners Court holds an emergency meeting today with two of the Commissioners upset they were not given warning that County Judge Clay Jenkins was going to impose a mandatory mask rule beginning at midnight tonight.

Usually divided along party lines, Republican J.J. Koch and Democrat John Wiley Price are united in calling for today's emergency meeting, saying Jenkins, also a Democrat, did not discuss his plans with the Court.

Under Jenkins' rule, anyone patronizing an essential business in Dallas must wear a face covering. Businesses are authorized to refuse service to anyone not wearing one.

It is also mandatory for workers at any business deemed 'essential' and for anyone riding on public transportation.
