SAN ANGELO — The attendees at a drive in movie night at the Angelo Civic Theatre were treated to a showing of the popular Tim Burton film 'Beetlejuice' on Saturday. Drive in movies have become popular again during the era of COVID-19 as many traditional theaters are closed or have limited seating due to social-distancing restrictions.

Dozens of cars filled the parking lot next to the Angelo Civic Theatre nearly to capacity for the second night in a row, according to one of the volunteers directing traffic at the event. Buck Vogt said the event was well attended on Friday and Saturday night. Several of the organizers were also dressed up as characters from the film adding to the festive nature of the Halloween-themed event.
