There are so many reasons to love cast-iron pans.

Unlike many kitchen tools and utensils, they can feel like part of our family, or like friends. Maybe they’ve been with us for a long time — and only get better with age. They might need a little attention from time to time, and our care is always rewarded.

Cast iron is also small-D democratic: beloved by hunters and hippies, suburban dads and country aunties, and available at local hardware stores and big boxes. You could spend hundreds on artisanal versions, but many new models cost less than a pizza delivery.

How to take care of your cast-iron cookware and make it last forever

Every cast-iron pan out there is as unique as its owner. And we want to meet you both.
