A 65-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on Curry Ford Road Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The motorcyclist was riding south on Curry Ford Road toward Arbor View Boulevard around 11:45 a.m. when he hit a driver who failed to yield the right of way, said FHP spokeswoman Kim Montes.

Cheryl Rogers, 75, pulled out in front of the motorcyclist in a 2015 Kia Soul and was attempting to turn left at the intersection when the motorcyclist hit her car head-on, Montes said.

The motorcyclist was ejected in the impact. He was transported to AdventHealth East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. FHP has not released the name of the deceased.

Rogers sustained minor injuries, and she was taken to the AdventHealth Waterford Lakes ER, Montes said.

FHP is still investigating the crash, and charges are pending against Rogers.

This is a developing story. Check back here for updates.
