Frisco ISD school closed due to senior prank
A senior prank at a North Texas high school got out of hand, forcing it to call off classes for the rest of the week.
Memorial High School in the Frisco ISD is closed due to air quality issues. According to the district, a group of students was approved to use post-it notes on the walls to decorate and place messages around the campus as part of their senior prank.
Staff members were on site to monitor the students, but say the situation rapidly deteriorated.
Videos on YouTube and TikTok show students dumping trash cans, destroying furniture, spray painting walls, and setting off fire extinguishers throughout the school. According to the district, the students caused thousands of dollars worth of damage, and that every surface on the 300,000-square-foot campus must be cleaned, including the ceilings.
Police and Fire were called in to help.
The Frisco ISD vows to identify the students involved in the chaos and hold them accountable.
