Georgia Governor Brian Kemp along with Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner Kathleen Toomey and other state officials confirmed the first two cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) at a news conference Monday night.

According to the Governor, it involves two residents of Fulton County who live in the same household.

It was also announced that one of the residents recently returned from Italy, and both have mild symptoms.

They are currently at home isolated to keep the illness from spreading.
