Female employees gave both companies high marks on categories ranging from compensation to work-life balance.

Facebook and Google ranked in the top 50 large companies for women in the U.S., according to a new online survey released Wednesday.

Female employees at both companies gave their employers high marks in anonymous surveys from career-data company Comparably that look at categories including compensation, leadership, work-life balance, perks, and benefits. The findings are the latest among several such top-employer listings from a variety of outlets and are the result of informal online polls of visitors to the Comparably site, rather than scientific surveys. Comparably founder and CEO Jason Nazar is an Inc.com columnist.

Comparably does not assign individual rankings beyond the top 50 grouping, of which only six companies are led by female CEOs: Accenture, Anthem, Deloitte, Sunrun, Ulta Beauty and Vertafore. The survey defines large companies as those having 500 employees or more. A separate Comparably survey named the 25 best small- and mid-size companies for women, looking at businesses with fewer than 500 employees. The list includes two companies with female CEOs: dating app startup Bumble and student loan company Climb Credit.

The full lists of companies are below, in alphabetical order.
