Huge lottery win had Virginia woman skeptical at first — then came ‘tears of joy’
Tynisha Daniel was a bit skeptical at first when she realized she won a top prize in the Virginia lottery.
Daniel was “sitting at home” playing her favorite lottery game, High Roller Jackpot, when she scored the top prize and won $128,085, lottery officials said in a March 21 news release.
She couldn’t believe it at first, she told lottery officials.
“I was like, ‘Is this real?’” she told lottery officials. “I cried tears of joy.”
Daniel, who lives in Dumfries and works in cybersecurity, said her first step is to use the money to pay off some bills.
The High Roller Jackpot is a “progressive jackpot game.” Tickets cost between 50 cents and $50.
Dumfries is about 30 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.
