This time it wasn't a lucky scratch-off ticket that made someone's day, but the results were the same for a Jacksonville man who claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize announced by the Florida Lottery on Wednesday.

Junior Francois, 48, bought the winning Quick Pick ticket at the 6060-10 Fort Caroline Road Winn-Dixie for the Oct. 5 drawing, according to the Lottery. The ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball.

Florida joined the Mega Millions game in 2013. Tickets cost $2 per chance for the multi-state, multi-million-dollar jackpot that starts at $20 million. Match all five white balls and the Mega Ball to win the jackpot; match just the five white balls and win $1 million. Players can add Megaplier for $1 more per play to increase their non-jackpot winnings by up to five times.
