Here are the reported COVID-19 figures from the Knox County Health Department for May 7, 2022, compared to April 30. These numbers represent comparisons from last Saturday to the previous Saturday. The Knox County Health Department updates the COVID-19 statistics every Wednesday with data for the previous calendar week.

The seven-day figure averages new cases detected each day over the past week, rounded to the nearest whole number.

Total cases detected: 128,707 (128,435)

The number of total cases may decrease from week to week as the Knox County Health Department does a standard review of its data and identifies cases from residents outside of Knox County. Those cases get removed from the data, resulting the decrease.
