Local school board member says removing superintendent is just the first step
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The school board member who led the charge to remove the superintendent from one of the area's largest school districts says it was only the "first step in taking back schools."
Matt Miller resigned from the Lakota School District after allegations of a sexual nature arose from his recent divorce.
The school board and sheriff investigations found no truth to the rumors and the probes did not result in discipline or criminal charges.
In a letter to the board, Miller accused board member Darbi Boddy and her supporters of "destroying his career" with "false allegations," and said their motivation was retaliation for LGBTQ+ policies and their belief that critical race theory is being taught in Lakota schools
Boddy wrote to Local 12 over the weekend:
I did not bring the communications to light, but as a member of the Lakota Board of Education, I did not hesitate from publicly communicating to concerned parents my knowledge of them and my shared disgust. [Mr. Miller's] departure is a much-needed first step toward positive change our schools and our children have been under assault from the radical political left.
