Madison, NY Central School looking for family COVID updates

Utica Observer-Dispatch logo Utica Observer-Dispatch 1/15/2021 Susan Cooke Anderson, MADISON NEWS

The Madison Central School superintendent sent out a letter dated Jan. 7 asking the community to let the school know if anyone has tested positive for or is in mandatory quarantine for COVID. The school is required to submit daily updates to the New York State Department of Health.

He said that the Madison County Department of Health has seen cases triple since Thanksgiving which has made contact tracing hard to keep up. To help, it is important to keep communication between homes and school up to date. It will also help to determine when to safely open school.

I did get a vaccination appointment for my mother by going through the Madison County Department of Health. After filling out one form to confirm her age, it gave me sites available for vaccinations so I got to make her an appointment in Hamilton.

Peace and sympathy to the family and friends of Richard Lamb, who was once the Town of Madison supervisor for 10 years.

Happy birthday wishes to Sue Barnes on the 26th and to Christian Olney on the 28th.
