Magik Theatre is bringing back "Dragons Love Tacos" as its first production following the shut-down orders that forced the theater to close in March as part of the effort to fight the spread of COVID-19.

Magik Theatre will be opening “Dragons Love Tacos” May 29, making it the first San Antonio theater to announce reopening plans following shut-down orders designed to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“Dragons” opened briefly in March, just ahead of the shutdown.

Just 25 percent of the theater’s seating — enough to accommodate 144 people — will be available. To make sure that everyone is spread out in the interests of social distancing, patrons will have to purchase tickets in advance at magiktheatre.org — no tickets will be sold at the door.

Face masks will be required for those ages 2 and up. Anyone who shows up without a mask will be given one for free. Patrons will be asked to wipe their hands with hand sanitizer once they come inside. And everyone coming into the building will have to undergo a temperature check. Should anyone in a group have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, no one in that group will be admitted.

Individually wrapped concessions will be sold, as will some limited merchandise, but all purchases will have to be made with a card or through a contact-free method. No cash will be accepted.
