Man killed in pickup truck crash in Licking County

A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash Monday night in Licking County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to U.S. 40 near Willowbrook Trail in Etna Township just after 8:20 p.m.

OSHP says 26-year-old Cameron Collins of, Baltimore, was traveling east on U.S. 40 in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pulling a trailer. The Silverado and trailer went off the right side of the road, overturned and crashed into a utility pole.

Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person inside the vehicle. Officials say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The eastbound lanes of U.S. 40 in the area of the crash are currently shut down.

The crash is still under investigation.
