Mega Millions $120 million winning ticket sold in Wisconsin

Someone in Wisconsin has millions and millions of reasons to smile.

One ticket sold in Wisconsin won the $120 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday night, according to the lottery website. The jackpot was estimated at $119 million prior to the drawing, but rose based on actual sales, the lottery announced.

It was not immediately known where in the Badger State the winning ticket was sold. It was the first time a Mega Millions jackpot was won in Wisconsin.

The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 were: 25 - 28 - 38 - 59 - 62 and Megaball 22. The Megaplier was 4x.

The jackpot winner can also choose the cash option which was an estimated $95.4 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on July 31, when a $22 million winning ticket was sold in Mira Loma, California.

Also, one ticket sold in Georgia matched all five white balls to win $1 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot will now reset to $20 million with a cash option of $15.9 million for Friday night's drawing.

Big winner: $168.5 million winning Powerball ticket sold in Florida

If you didn't win big on Tuesday, the Powerball jackpot has risen to $94 million with a cash option of $75.1 million for Wednesday night's drawing, according to the Powerball website.
