How to play in Tennessee

To play the Mega Millions in Tennessee, a ticket costs $2 each. A Megaplier, which lets players up their non-jackpot prize winnings by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times, is an extra $1.

There are six numbers from two separate groups of numbers — five different numbers from 1 to 70, and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. There is also an Easy or Quick Pick option that will auto-select the numbers for you.

To play the Powerball, buy a $2 ticket and select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.

Odds of winning

There are nine ways to win a Mega Millions prize, ranging from the multi-million dollar jackpot to $2.

There is a 1 in 302,575,350 chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot prize (all five winning numbers plus the Mega Ball). Odds drop to 1 in 12,607,306 for all five winning numbers but no Mega Ball.

There are nine ways to win the Powerball, starting at the multi-million dollar grand prize to $4.

There is a 1 in 292,201,338 chance of winning the Powerball grand prize (all five winning numbers plus the Powerball). Odds drop to 1 in 11,688,053.52 for all five winning numbers but no Powerball.
