A Cumberland County business owner is using Christmas trees to bring some much needed holiday cheer.

Corey Showers and Aaron Baney are cousins with a mission: "To deliver trees to everyone safely, while having fun doing it," Showers said.

For the last 10 years, Showers has been selling Christmas trees out of a parking lot in Enola, but due to COVID-19, it was too risky this year.

"I wanted to figure out a safe way to get trees to everybody," Showers said.

And he did, in one week he painted his trailer, covered it with lights, launched a website and started delivering Christmas trees.

Last year, they were "Sitting in a parking lot waiting for people to come to you and sitting in the cold," Showers said. This year's business model is more direct.

After a quick check that all the bells and whistles are in place and functioning, they headed out for a recent delivery in Enola.

Jennifer Gerace and her husband, Joel, arranged the delivery as a special surprise for their sons Dylan and Gavin.

"I thought that this was such a great new model to come out and deliver," Jennifer Gerace said. "And then when I saw the lights and heard all the stuff, I thought it would be a great bit of extra fun for the children."

After seeing the truck come down the road like a mini parade, with holiday music playing, a blow-up Santa Claus and a truck covered in lights, full of Christmas trees, we think everyone regardless of age would agree this delivery service is fun.
