A high school student was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on campus at Mt. Pleasant High School on Wednesday, according to the Maury County Public Schools officials.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that the motorcycle crashed into a school building.
"We will share that a student was riding a minibike and crashed, and the student perished due to injuries sustained in the crash," Jack Cobb, MCPS communications director, said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, students, and staff during this time."
