Oakland Superintendent: ‘No Discipline Warranted’ For Student Day Before Mass Shooting

In a statement on Thursday, the Oakland Superintendent Tim Throne claimed that student Ethan Crumbley and his parents did "have contact" with the high school's front office on Nov. 30, but affirmed that "no discipline was warranted" at the time. Crumbley killed four classmates and wounded seven others in a shooting at his Michigan high school on Nov. 30 -- the deadliest at a U.S. K-12 school since 2018.
