Ohio now on Kentucky's travel advisory list along with 14 other states

Ohio was recently added to Kentucky's travel advisory list as the state is reporting a significant increase in positive COVID-19 cases.

During Gov. Beshear's Tuesday COVID-19 press conference, he confirmed Ohio's positivity rate is now 15.87%. According to the travel advisory, Kentuckians are recommended to self-quarantine for states reporting at least a 15% positivity rate. Ohio is just one of the 15 states on Kentucky's travel advisory.

Health officials recommend self-quarantining if you travel to the following states:

  • Wyoming
  • South Dakota
  • Iowa
  • Idaho
  • Kansas
  • Pennsylvania
  • New Mexico
  • Missouri
  • Alabama
  • Utah
  • Montana
  • Arizona
  • Mississippi
  • Oregon
  • Ohio

On Tuesday, Ohio reported additional 8,604 cases and 98 deaths, according to the Ohio Department of Health. Kentucky reported 2,690 more cases and 17 additional deaths.
