All emergency calls in Palm Springs are currently being routed to the Cathedral City 911 center, due to a power outage.

The reason for the outage, which is affecting city buildings, is under investigation, Palm Springs police reported.

There is no estimated time for internal phone lines to be operational, police said.

Emergency 911 lines and non-emergency calls for police and fire service are being handled by the Cathedral City 911 center, police officials said.

For non-emergency assistance, call (760) 770-0300.

Palm Springs City buildings operate off the city's own grid.
