Sabine Lake - Guide Randy Foreman reported good catches of trout in 2-4 feet of water over clam on the north mud flats. Redfish are good against the bank on finger mullet.

Matagorda - Good catches have come at night under lights in the Colorado River on glow plastics.

Lake Livingston - Guide Simon Cosper reported good catches of catfish on natural bait. He said white bass are beginning to move up the creeks and rivers.

Hunting - Guide Scott Clary reported limits of specklebellies under clear skies. Duck season concludes Sunday and prospects are good over shallow prairie ponds. Most outfitters have allowed ponds to rest all week.
