Overturned fuel truck closes SR 32 in eastern Tehama County

RED BLUFF — A fuel truck overturned Thursday afternoon in rural eastern Tehama County, closing State Route 32 at the junction with SR 36E.

The collision occurred around 2:20 p.m., about 1.5 miles east of Deer Creek bridge.

SR 32 was closed around 2 miles west of the Tehama and Butte county line, according to Caltrans.

Cal Fire said Butte County firefighters are responding to the scene.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has dispatched a team from the Office of Spill Prevention and Response. Fish and Wildlife said diesel fuel was reportedly released into Deer Creek.
