A South Jersey woman was killed and several others injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday in Salem County.

A 70-year-old Franklinville man was driving east on Route 40 near milepost 18 in Upper Pittsgrove Township around 5:30 p.m. when his car collided with a westbound vehicle, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.

Police could not say how the crash occurred or which driver was at fault.
