Protesters and activists arrested in Egypt
Biden's nominee for future Secretary of State, Tony Blinken, has voiced concerns about Egypt's crackdown on a human rights group: according to the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, their executive director and two staffers were arrested last week and are being held on terrorism charges after meeting with European diplomats.
