SAN ANTONIO - The new year is always a celebratory event, however this year you might want to reconsider shooting off those fireworks if you live inside the city limits.

The San Antonio Police Department reminds you that using fireworks inside the city limits is illegal. If you are caught setting off any fireworks, you could face a Class C misdemeanor with a fine up to $2,000.

If you see someone recklessly using fireworks inside the city limits, you are asked to call the non-emergency number for police at (210) 207-7273. The San Antonio Fire Department will prioritize these calls and will respond based on the risk assessment and the current demand of calls.

San Antonio offers professional firework displays throughout the city. Here are some San Antonio events that will have a firework display on December 31st.

HEMISFAIR PARK: The family-friendly event is scheduled to go from 6 p.m. to midnight at La Villita and Hemisfair between Market and Cesar Chavez Streets located on Alamo St. on December 31st, 2021.

SEAWORLD: Celebrate New Year's Eve at SeaWorld with spectacular fireworks display on December 31st at 8:50pm (Weather Permitting). Fireworks display is included with admission or pass.
