Sacramento police have a new helicopter, and now it has a special name.

Students at Bell Elementary School chose the name "Halo" in honor of fallen Davis officer Natalie Corona, who was gunned down last month. “Corona" means halo or crown in Spanish.

The students also share a connection with officer Corona. During her time in the police academy in Sacramento, she frequently stopped by campus and visited with students.

The helicopter takes off from McClellan Airport and flies over the school.
