Thousands without electricity in massive north SLO County power outage

Thousands of people in North San Luis Obispo County are without power Saturday evening.

According to PG&E, 18,753 customers are without electricity in a massive outage stretching from Lake Nacimiento to Santa Margarita, including the cities of Paso Robles, Atascadero and Templeton.

The outage was reported just before 9:30 p.m.

According to PG&E’s outage map, expected restoration is around 1 a.m. The cause is currently unknown.
