Utah troopers stop 30 vehicles in 30 hours for speeding over 100 mph
Utah Highway Patrol said within 30 hours, troopers stopped 30 vehicles for speeding over 100 mph in Juab County.
Troopers said the stops have been part of a speed enforcement project for the sand dunes at Little Sahara.
In addition to those 30 stops, troopers said they have stopped 198 vehicles for speeding under 100 mph.
They said the project started Friday morning and consists of 13 troopers, two sergeants, one lieutenant and eight overtime shifts for the weekend.
Most stops have been happening along I-15, officials added.
"As you are traveling this weekend please slow down so you can get to your destination safely!" UHP officials said. "This enforcement will go through the weekend into Monday."
