Highland Park police: Shooter preplanned attack, bought gun legally
Authorities say the suspected gunman in the Highland Park, Illinois, mass shooting that killed six people acted alone and preplanned the Fourth of July attack weeks in advance. The suspect, Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, surrendered to police after a short car chase later in the day.
