Sherrard School District Superintendent: The search is over

Nov. 29, 2021 - The process to hire a new superintendent began last spring (2021) when the school board hired IASB (Illinois Association of School Boards) to help navigate a seamless transition - on the heels of Superintendent Alan Boucher's retirement announcement. Mr Boucher will retire at the end of the 2021/2022 school year with over 36 years of public education service, he has served as Sherrard Superintendent since October 2015. In the fall, the school board conducted 9 interviews from a pool of 16 candidates - after reviewing 270 pages of resume material, totaling 50 hours (including reference phone calls)... they have chosen the next superintendent of the Sherrard School District. School Board President Rhys Fullerlove said, "Our pick has served in education at all levels over his 26 years of service as an educator..." "We'd like to thank the community for all their support and input during this process and we look forward to starting a new era of Tiger Pride." The board will vote to hire their pick on Dec. 1. #SherrardRoars
