2 dead in Ottawa County plane crash

ZEELAND, MI — Two people have died after a small plane crashed at the Ottawa Executive Airport Saturday morning, according to a report from WOODTV.

A small, two-seat aircraft crashed northeast of the runway just after takeoff, according to the report. The crash happened about 6:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is not yet clear and the victims' identities have not been released.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration are continuing to investigate.
