Anti-restrictions protesters rally in Europe
Lockdown protesters and COVID sceptics rallied in numerous European countries over the weekend. Governments have introduced a range of restrictions to curb the spread of coronavirus amid the third wave. Several nations are set to ease measures over the coming weeks again. However protesters want an end to all restrictions now. As the more infectious variant, first found in the UK, is spreading across Europe, COVID cases are spiking again for the first time in six weeks. WHO Europe's director, Dr Hans Kluge, urged that now is the time ‘to redouble efforts to gain back control’.
