Blinken Blames Russia For Accelerated Food Insecurity Amid Ukraine Invasion

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken cited Russia's Ukraine invasion as a factor leading to accelerated global food insecurity. The U.S. State Department reported 193 million people around the world experienced acute food security in 2021, up almost 40 million than the previous year. Another 40 million are projected to experience food insecurity by the end of this year.
