Dad-to-Be Dies in Gender Reveal Explosion Accident in New York
A community is mourning the loss of a man who will never get to meet his child. Christopher Pekny was killed by a device that was meant to expel colored powder for a gender reveal party. Instead, during a test run before the party, the device exploded early, killing Chris and injuring his younger brother, Michael. State police say there was “no malicious intent” in this tragic accident.
