Fauci Caught Calling Senator 'Moron' on Hot Mic
Testy exchanges overshadowed a Senate health committee hearing yesterday aimed at examining if policy changes are needed while the U.S. is battling the hugely contagious omicron variant. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, lost his temper when Sen. Roger Marshall, a Republican from Kansas, accused him of hiding financial disclosure forms required of public officials. Fauci said his financial disclosures have been public for years. At the end of the exchange, he can be heard calling Senator Marshall a "moron."
