Montclair mayor talks getting kids back to school
Getting kids back into the classroom is a top priority, but in many cases, it’s proving to be easier said than done. Mayor Bill de Blasio has vowed to resume in-person learning in New York City in the fall. In New Jersey, some districts were supposed to begin a mix of hybrid in-person learning this week, but that was delayed due to lack of staff. Mayor of Montclair Township and Vice President of the New Jersey Education Association Sean Spiller discussed where everything stands in his district and how the NJEA is addressing concerns teachers and unions have.
