Oklahoma City Philharmonic supports Ukraine with national anthem

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic showed their support for Ukraine by playing their national anthem.

The support for Ukraine continues as Oklahomans take the time or donate to the victims of war in Ukraine. One of the forms of support over the weekend was a tribute in the form of music.

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic played the Ukrainian National Anthem. The symphony’s president said that music has a unique power to unify and break down barriers.

Their Friday night audience was asked to remember all of the innocent people affected by the war and hope for a return of peace

Earlier on Sunday, OKC’s Jewish Federation hosted their first annual Purim carnival as part of a national holiday celebrated in Israel every year. In addition to the festivities, proceeds from the event’s bake sale went to benefit Ukrainians impacted by the conflict.
