President Trump set to depart White House
President Trump is preparing to board the helicopter Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House. It will take him to Joint Base Andrews from which he will take a final flight in Air Force One in Florida. He will be the first president in 150 years who will not attend his successor’s inauguration. TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie reports and NBC’s Peter Alexander talks about the ceremonial farewell President Trump has planned and NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell reports from Joint Base Andrews, where a military band is rehearsing.
