Sheboygan voting information for April 6: Polling location changes, registering to vote and more

SHEBOYGAN - Voters in the city of Sheboygan will head to the polls April 6 to determine who will be Sheboygan's mayor as well as to fill three seats on the Sheboygan Area School District's school board.

With the election just more than six weeks away, here is what city residents should know if they plan on voting in April:

Polling location changes

Wards 16, 17 and 18 will vote at the Kiwanis Park Fieldhouse at 726 Kiwanis Park Drive. 

Wards 15, 20 and 21 will vote at City Hall at 828 Center Ave.

Registering to vote

Visit https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ to register to vote. The deadline to register to vote online or by mail is end of day March 17 (if registering by mail, registration must be postmarked on or before that day). After that, you can register at the clerk's office in City Hall through April 2 or at the polls on election day.

Voting absentee

To request an absentee ballot, visit www.myvote.wi.gov/en-us/. The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail, online, email or fax for the April 6 general election is 5 p.m. April 1. Clerks will start mailing absentee ballots to people with active requests on file on March 16.

In-person absentee voting will run from March 23 to April 2 at the clerk's office.

Become a poll worker

Those interested in becoming a poll worker should contact the clerk's office at 920-459-3361.
