Two missing hikers in Bankhead National Forest were found in "good condition" by search teams with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.

LCSO made the announcement via Facebook:

"We can’t say how much we appreciate all of our members and volunteers with the Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Search & Rescue. The hikers are safely out of the forest and evaluated by Sheriff’s Search & Rescue paramedics.  Hikers are in good condition and good spirits.  ALEA Aviation, Colbert County NW search dog, Huntsville K9 Search and of course as always RAT-SAR and their continued support and efforts."

The ground teams were assisted by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Unit, according to LCSO.
