U.S. Animal Attacks By The Numbers

Over one million emergency room visits and around $2 billion in healthcare spending occur in the U.S. each year due to animal attacks. Insects and arachnids like ants and spiders result in around 100 deaths per year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The likelihood of death from an animal attack is rare, but there’s still a chance these attacks can result in serious health problems or even death if they are not treated effectively.
