ZEELAND, MI — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office have identified two people killed in a plane crash Saturday morning as Dale and Joyce Deweese, 61 and 59, both of Zeeland, Michigan.

The sheriff’s office responded just after 6:30 a.m. to the Ottawa Executive Airport in Zeeland Township. An on-scene investigation showed that a two-seat Byerley RV9A crashed shortly after takeoff northeast of the runway.

The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Flight Standards District Office out of Grand Rapids.
