World Homelessness By The Numbers

An estimated over 100 million people are homeless worldwide. Globally, 1.6 billion people live in inadequate housing conditions, with about 15 million forcefully evicted every year. There has been an alarming rise in homelessness in the last 10 years and by 2030, UN-Habitat estimates that about 40% of the world’s population will need access to adequate housing. Under international human rights law, everyone, without exception, has a right to adequate housing.
