'World's loneliest elephant' finally set for better days moved to Cambodian sanctuary
An elephant who has been captive in Islamabad Zoo in Pakistan for 35 years has finally been released after years of campaigning by pop superstar Cher. Kavaan, who entered the zoo at just one-year-old, was dubbed the “world’s loneliest elephant”, but he will have lots of friends at his new home in a Cambodian sanctuary.
