During a livestream detailing features of Episode 3, Valorant developers teased a new Clash-like feature early in development. Similar the mode in League of Legends, the mode would allow players to form up teams for tournaments held during an Act. Other details weren't revealed yet, but for fans of both League of Legends and Valorant, this is welcome news for the competitive players, and for players always looking out for new features in the game.

Valorant Tournament Mode in the Works

The Clash-style mode is still in progress, and according to the popular Valor Leaks Twitter account, the game mode could end up being scrapped if developers encounter challenges. Right now, the developers plan for team sizes of 5-7, which would allow for substitutions between matches. The developers also detailed plans for a larger winner's tournament, taking place at the end of an Act.

Details are light right now, in part because this is still very early in the development stage. As of now, there isn't a estimated timeline for the mode. Other questions remain about the game mode, with how opponents are determined, or the schedule of the matches. The most likely option is matching tournaments in the same rank, so a dedicated Iron, Bronze, Silver, etc., level for Clash. Unfortunately, for more detailed information, players will have to wait.

Episode 3 is releasing soon, with a brand new Agent in tow. The robotic KAY/O will arrive June 22, just in time to celebrate Valorant's first anniversary with free rewards.
