Broncos Interview Former Stanford Coach David Shaw
The Denver Broncos have reportedly interviewed former Stanford coach David Shaw for their vacant head coach position. Former Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett was fired on Dec. 26 after going 4-11 in his first season. Shaw spent 12 years coaching the Cardinal, winning 96 games and making eight bowl game appearances before resigning. While at Stanford, Shaw created a culture founded on tough, physical football. His teams were among the best at running the football and stopping the run on defense. Denver also received permission to interview former Saints coach Sean Payton. The Broncos have also interviewed Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh for the role.
