Akron native Justin Lower put on a show for the crowd from the tee box of the 17th hole at the final round of the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament Sunday afternoon.

Stepping up to the tee with a 9-iron, Lower and a large gallery of spectators watched as he took his tee shot on the 135 foot par 3.

Lower's shot sailed beautifully to 10 feet right of the pin before catching the green with enough spin that deposited the ball into the cup for his first career PGA Tour hole in one.

They always say two is better than one. Lower's ace wasn't the only one in the final round. Marc Leishman aced hole 15 with a 7-iron to mark two hole-in-one's in the same round.

A current resident of Canal Fulton, Lower won the 2010 NAIA championship while golfing for Malone University and later took home Ohio Open titles in 2014 and '15. The 33-year-old earned his PGA Tour card last year after eight seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Lower finished the event tied for 46th place with a -14 score for the weekend. South Korean PGA pro K.H. Lee took down the event shooting -9 in the final round and -26 overall finishing one shot ahead of Jordan Spieth when it was all said and done.

Lee successfully defended his AT&T Byron Nelson championship after winning the 2021 event by 3 strokes.
